Carpet cleaning tip: Remove grease stain

  • Dab a drop or two of dish detergent into a cup of water.
  • Add solution to a clean spray bottle.
  • Spray the stain.
  • Using a white cloth, blot cloth gently into the stain.
  • Repeat until stain is gone.

    It is important to first understand the nature of the stain when attempting to remove a grease stain from your carpet. Grease is often difficult to remove because it is composed of both oil and water. As such, you will need to use a two-step process to effectively remove the stain.
